Texas Motorplex: Feel the Thunder of Drag Racing! Guide
Get ready for an adrenaline rush at the Texas Motorplex, one of the premier drag racing facilities in the world! Located in Ennis, Texas, this legendary track has hosted countless NHRA events and witnessed record-breaking performances. Whether you're a seasoned racing fan or a curious newcomer, the Texas Motorplex offers an unforgettable experience filled with high-octane excitement and the roar of powerful engines. The Texas Motorplex holds a significant place in drag racing history. Opened in 1986 by Billy Meyer, it was the first "super track" designed specifically for professional drag racing. Its innovative concrete surface and state-of-the-art facilities quickly made it a favorite among racers and fans alike. Over the years, the Motorplex has been the site of numerous world records and memorable moments, solidifying its reputation as a true icon of the sport. The main attraction at the Texas Motorplex is, of course, the drag racing! Attend an NHRA event and witness the incredible speed and power of Top Fuel dragsters, Funny Cars, and Pro Stock cars. Between races, explore the pit area, meet the drivers, and get an up-close look at the machines. The Motorplex also hosts a variety of other events throughout the year, including bracket racing, car shows, and concerts. While the Motorplex itself doesn't have a specific culinary tradition, you'll find plenty of food vendors offering classic racetrack fare like hot dogs, hamburgers, and cold drinks.
